I'm Grant Mackay, I live in the beautiful Scottish Royal Burgh of Dornoch, home to the world famous Royal Dornoch links, where I was a caddy for seventeen years and a member since I was 3, with a starting membership costing £1.50. In this time I have seen all the successful putters on the market and long thought I had something to contribute.

With a college diploma in mechanical engineering and many years of traveling the world under my belt I started my own business milling and hand crafting quality, made to measure putters in my workshop, the same workshop where Donald Ross a Dornoch man started his working life as an apprentice carpenter.

As a young man Donald became a fine golfer and went on to be a green keeper and club maker under the tuition of 4 time British Open champion Old Tom Morris, the architect of my home course, Royal Dornoch. In 1899, after his time as professional at Dornoch Donald headed to the States to first teach golf and then was given the chance to design golf courses. He went on to design some 413 courses including Pinehurst No.2, Seminole and Oakland Hills. Over 100 U.S. national championships have been played on his designs.
